At a point in time when gender was not one of the most popular themes among publishers, IAWS was a platform that provided an opportunity for feminist publications. Papers presented at several national IAWS conferences have been published in journals such as the Indian Journal of Gender Studies, the Economic and Political Weekly, and so on. A newsletter is also published twice a year which is a forum for communicating information regarding contemporary events in women’s studies and also a space to provide an update on the campaigns the women’s movement has been involved in.

1986-2007

IAWS publications are distributed to members at the National Conferences. Past priced publications are no longer available for sale. However, many libraries, Women’s Studies Centres and women’s resource centres across the country have selected publications.
